Yearbook Yourself! It's Fun!

I found this fun website called Yearbook Yourself. Give it a try. It' s a lot of fun. Here are some senior pictures of Russ "through the decades."

---------1950------------------1956------------------1966---------

---------1976------------------1988------------------1996--------

That last one looks a lot like his senior pictures. :)
Of course if I embarrassed Russ, I had to embarrass myself, so here goes nothing!

---------1952------------------1960------------------1970--------

---------1980------------------1990-----------------1996---------

I'm pretty sure I had aunts who had some of these hair styles :)

Short Hair, Take II

OK, here is both front and back of my hair. I took this picture this morning, so keep in mind it is 6 am and I haven't put any makeup on yet. And don't ask me why I have this overly excited look on my face. Odds are I was half asleep while getting ready for work and didn't want it to show in the picture. I'm not sure. So now what do you who needed to see that back think?

Daycare Update

So Dallin is in his new daycare center. It's a really nice center and I love his new teachers. One problem....Dallin doesn't do well with the other babies. I HAVE THE MEAN KID!!! In Dallin's defense, he is only 9 months old, so he hopefully will grow out of it. He doesn't even realize he's being mean, right? I mean he's only 9 months old. Plus, he's used to being the only baby and getting all the attention from the other kids when he was in the home daycare. You always worry about the other kids playing nice with your baby. I never worried about my baby not playing nice. Of course they aren't worried, with him being so young. Hopefully he's get used to sharing the toys and attention. :)

***Note: I'll take a picture of the back of my hair on the day the back of my hair looks OK. Russ loves my hair short. I feel like a boy. But I will say I'm a big fan of the ease of doing it. So if everyone else says it looks better short, short it will stay. That's why I need honest opinions. As for looking 30...I'm only 3 year away from that one.

Short Hair & Daddy's Home

I chopped my hair off. I want to know what you all think. Should I keep it short or grow it out?
Now a cute picture of Dal. This is the big smile Daddy gets every day when he gets home from work.

This One's For Julie

"Julie was missing pictures of me (Dallin). And who can blame her. I'm so stinkin cute. Here's my big smile for Julie. I just got out of the tub. That's why I got this rockin hair style. I know, I know. No one recognizes me because I'm so clean. Don't worry. I'll be back to my old dirty self soon enough. So, until next time...love, peace, and chicken grease. (I learned that one from my Dad. He's the coolest!)"

April tagged me.

1. I can not go into a room without the lights on if there is a mirror in that room. I don't know why, but a mirror in a dark room freaks me out. It has since I can remember. And night lights do not count as a light. This also includes in the middle of the day. I don't know why it scares me so bad. I think it relates back to being little and staying at my cousin Aly's house. She had two large mirrors in her bathroom and we used to get freaked out easily.

2. I can't stand when people chew on fabric. Even at the dentist the other day, Jeff used gauze to unscrew something in my mouth. It took all my restraint not to cringe and pull away. Even talking about fabric in a mouth makes me cringe. I think this aversion to fabric chewing is common, but Russ thinks I am so weird about it.

3. I am so weird about the texture of foods. I don't care how good something tastes, if it is lumpy or mushy, odds are I won't eat it. Mushrooms are a good example. I love the taste of fried mushrooms, but I can't eat them plain. They are way too slimy.

4. I can't sleep unless I can stick my feet out from under the covers. This drives Russ crazy because he is the one who makes that bed and the bed gets all torn up with my need to stick out my feet.

5. I have this inability to talk to strangers on the phone. I hate it! I either end up feeling so stupid, unable to explain myself, or feeling so frustrated I want to cry. I would much rather deal with people in person. Unfortunately, there is always some insurance person that needs to be dealt with. I don't even like ordering pizza. I know. It's irrational. Growing up it was a lot worse. I used to refuse to do it at all.

6. OK, this one is embarrassing, but Russ insists I put it. (I can't believe I am sharing this) Not many people know about my weird popcorn eating habit. If you choose to continue reading and then choose to tease me about it, don't be surprised if I stop talking to you then and there. OK, so I eat my popcorn like this: there are two parts of a piece of popcorn, the round part and the other part. I eat the other part on all my popcorn pieces first and them go back and eat all the round parts after. I only do this in the privacy of my own home (or my Mom's). I know it is totally strange, but we are all strange if we would admit to it.

***I tag....anyone who reads this. I hate making people feel like they have to do a tag. I only do the ones I enjoy and hope others will do because they enjoy. I would love to read funny quirks about all of your guys. It might make me feel better. I hope these make April feel better :)

Yummy Pizza

Yesterday at my parents house I made pizza on the grill for dinner. It was the best homemade pizza I have ever had. Russ and I can't wait to make it again. I got the recipe at Lost Button Studio. The post is called Pizza On The Grill. One thing though, my pizza took a lot longer to cook than hers did. I think it ended up being about 10 minutes total. Maybe I didn't have it as hot as her, but we loved it anyway. Anyone who is looking to grill something new should give it a try. I'm hoping Mom and Dad want some next Sunday too :) *hint, hint*

Juice Anyone?

Dallin is starting to learn how to use a sippy cup. He's not doing too bad. He has figured out that he can't suck on it the same way he sucks on his bottle. He hasn't quite learned that he has to tip it up high enough so that the juice can come out. Maybe we need to try a straw :)
