Bountiful Baskets

So a couple times in the past month I have heard about Bountiful Baskets from a couple different people. I finally decided to give it a try. Bountiful Baskets is a co-op in Utah and Arizona where you get inexpensive fresh produce every other week. This is my first time trying it and this is what I got: 2 large containers of grapes (they ran out of cherries so get there early if you do it), strawberries, bananas, apples, plums, tomatoes, zucchini, cauliflower, celery, lettuce, and a big pile of fresh green beans. It's $15+tax (extra $3 your first time). So you tell me, do you think this is a good amount of fresh produce for $15? It defiantly looked fresher to me than what you find in the store.

What To Think About?

So I went running again today. Three miles, like usual. This time, after my 5 minute warm up walk, I ran 25 minutes straight. I have to say that I am very pleased with myself. :) I have one problem with running (other than the inevitable stitch in my side). It's the fact that when I am running all I can think about is the fact that I am running. This is true even when I am listening to music. My thoughts drift from "I feel great, I know I can do this" to "I am hating every minute of this" to everywhere in between. Russ says that he like running alone because he likes to be alone with his thoughts. I don't have any thoughts other than about running. Any suggestions about how to change my thinking or attitude? Am I destine to a life of running misery? Or will time change my thinking?

Random NC Videos (And Giveaway Link)

Adam was learning to walk when Dallin and I went to visit the Shulz family. I hear he walks all over now.

Add Image
Dallin loved the horsey. I wish we could have gotten a better video of him. You can also see how he wanted to play with any toy once Adam was playing with it.

Also...ShelfReliance is having a cool giveaway! They are giving away their Harvest 72". I've always loved their products. Maybe one day I'll get my food storage organized. Check out the giveaway here.

Running Shoes

I've been running three times a week for the last 7 week. I guess it is really 5 weeks since I took a week off for North Carolina and a week off after being sick. Because I haven't bought new tennis shoes since I was pregnant with Dallin, I thought I would spend a little money and buy a nice new pair for shoes just for running. Hey, I've stuck with it for 5 weeks. I deserve a reward, right? Aren't they cute? They fit nice and where $25 off the suggested retail price. Yeah! Also, they are part of the Nike+ line. That isn't why I bought them. It was just a coincidence. Has anyone out there used the Nike+ gear before? I was wondering how well it worked. I would love to try it out. All I need now is the sensor and an iPod nano or a Nike+ iPod watch. :)

Am I A Bad Mother?

So Russ and I have had a long week, meaning not as much sleep as we. Then, we got free movies from Redbox last night. Of course we needed to stay up and watch them. We didn't get to bed till after 11. I usually wake up at about 6:30 or 7 on Saturday mornings. Dallin is often already awake when I get up because he go to bed at 7:30. This morning Russ and I both managed to sleep til 10am! I haven't done that in years. When I qucikly got up and went to check on Dallin, he was asleep. I'm sure he had woke up earlier, and when no one went to get him, he went back to sleep. Poor kid. I guess that is what happens when you don't cry when you are awake. :)

Shout Out To Aly!

So I know I have mentioned I went to visit my cousin Aly in North Carolina. While I was there, we did a photo shoot of Dallin. She did awesome! I wish I had 1/10th the talent she has. I'm hoping one day to talking her into teaching a small class, maybe one here in Utah when she visiting. I would pay for that! Anyway, I digress. Here are some of the most adorable pictures of Dallin. I'm never going to decide which ones I want to get. They are all good!

We Have A New Addition To The Family

So we ended up getting and new iMac. And we are happy with our decision. It's a 24 inch screen. It's huge. My TV is only a 20 inch. :) Russ had a heck of a time deciding what he wanted, but it all worked out for the best. My only complaint is the keyboard is so small. Can you tell in the picture? It doesn't even have 10-key.
