Giveaway

I don't usually share giveaways on here, but a friend of mine shared one I would love to win! It is a giveaway by Kids Creations and Dad Blog. This would be an amazing thing to win. Dallin (who is almost 18 months old. I know, crazy!) loves to be outside. With Russ going to school full time and me working full time, we have very little time together as a family. What little time we do have together, we often head over to the park. This would be even better!! We could hours together outside. When I was little we had a jungle gym in our backyard. We have many home videos of us playing on it. It was the old metal kind. Despite metal burns, we still had a lot of fun. But this new material that is used would be way better. I hope I win!!!

Note: If any of you sign up for Dad Blog because I referred you there, let me know so I can get credit for the contest. (I know, I'm being demanding now.)

More Sick

So not only did I catch Dallin's eye infection, I guess I have strep throat. Who knew? I went to the doctor yesterday to have them look at my eyes, but while I was there I had them look at my throat too. I had almost completely lost my voice, but other than that I felt fine. She did a throat swab just as a regular procedure, but nether of us thought it would be strep. I got a phone call at work to tell me I had strep and needed to get on an antibiotic. And my manager doesn't want me back till I've been on it for 24 hours, so I guess I'm home tomorrow too. I've never had strep before or at least I don't think so. The only symptom I have is a sratchy voice. If it wasn't for the eye infection I wouldn't have gone to the doctor. Maybe I have had strep before and just never found out. Between Dallin and me being sick, I've only worked 12 hours since last Thursday. I'ts been a crazy sick week.

Sick Dallin

I took Dallin to the doctor today. He started running a fever on Thursday, but by Friday night he seemed to be better. I was wrong. But Saturday afternoon he was running a fever again and had to grossest, green, goopy eyes I have ever seen. The doctor said that he has an ear infection that spread to his eyes. Before you think I am a bad mother for not noticing that he could have an ear infection, I promise you that there where no signs other than the fever, and he has had quite a few fevers this winter that have proved to be nothing. I even asked everyone we spent time around this weekend if they had noticed Dallin putting at his ears are anthing at all. No one did. My doctor said that some children can ignore ear pain rather well. He said his own daughter had a burst ear drum and they had no idea until they noticed puss dripping out her ear. OK , that was a gross story :)

Good news, he is now on an antibiotic. Bad news, because it has spread to his eye he is contagious until there is no more green goop, which can take a day or two. Good news, my mom can watch Dallin so I don't have to take any more days off work. (Though I wish I could just be home with him.)

Now Beckers knows the whole story.
