Any Ideas?
Lately, about an hour or so after Dallin goes to bed, he starts to scream. When we go in to check on him, he is still acting like he's asleep other than the screaming part. He is laying still and his eyes are closed. His eyes are still rolling around like he's sleeping (He sleeps with his eyes slightly open). Last night I decided to get him up. Once I held him up he woke up and stopped crying. I rocked him and he whimpered when we shut off the hall light, but we have small night light in there. He eventually went back to sleep. Any idea what could be causing this? He is teething. Could that cause it? Anyone else have kids that do this? It's a little creepy when you see him like that. I feel so bad that he doesn't respond to being comforted until you wake him up. Any ideas?

Our boys had those, my mom called them night terrors. We just let it go and eventually it stopped. It definitely could be the teething thing it seems to bother kids more at night. If it keeps up or you get really worried I would call your DR. Good Luck :)
I just know from experience that if you start getting up with him now that you will be getting up with him every night until he is at least 2! My doctor always told me that the first night wake up after 5 mins of crying, then 10 the next night, and so on. Maybe he will just learn to calm himself.
I know it's hard and I did this more with Luke than Jack (my mistake) but you need to just leave him alone; especially if he is not totally awake. Once you react to that situation he will most likely keep getting up in the night. Kids do need to learn to calm themselves down and go back to sleep.
