This Post Is A Long One!

It's been one busy weekend so far. Yesterday Ashley and her family surprised my mom and dad by coming down from Denver to the airport to pick up Dan. That lead me to the fact that Dan cam home from his mission yesterday.
This the first time Dan met Dallin. Dallin seemed a little unsure, but not as unsure as Sky. Shylar has never met Dan either and he wanted nothing to do with him.

Mom was thrilled to have Dan home.

Welcome Home!

Doesn't he look good!

Then this morning Lew went through the temple to take out his endowment. Russ and I went.

After the temple, Russ and I took Dallin on his first hike. We were so excited to try out the Kelty baby backpack.
Here we go. Off to the Water Fall Trail.

Dallin fell asleep a lot.

We made it!
(I didn't wear my retainer on this hike. I was afraid it would make my mouth too dry. So if you click on the picture to make ti big I think you can see my missing tooth. :)

What cute boys I have.

We made it back to the car, but not awake.

Dallin was so good and just looked around and talked. I am a little nervous because we've been home for and hour and his forehead along his hair line looks pinkish, like it's burned. I don't know how that's possible. I covered him in sunscreen and he wore a hat the whole time except for a few minute we were taking picture at the top and when I took it off when we got to the car to take the picture of him sleeping. Plus the carrier has a canopy that we had up. Hopefully he's not burned and just still a little warm from the hike.

Side note for any Davies relatives: We ran into Jake . He was hiking up when we were headed down. I'm glad he recognized me because I paying more attention to not falling on my butt than who else was around. He was with a girl named Alicia (I think that was her name). Anyone know if it's anything serious? She was a cutie!

Sorry this was so long. I couldn't decide which pictures to post, so I posted tons.

Baby "D"

Dallin got his pictures taken yesterday. He was being so ornery, but some of the picture turned out really cute. Click Here to go to the photographer, Veronica Reeve's, blog. She posted a few of them there. Let me know what you think. I love her work. I'm thinking family pictures in the fall.

Kelty Backpack

For Mother's Day I got a Kelty baby hiking backpack. We picked it up in SLC today (We rode front runner down there and had a ball.) Dallin loved being in it. We took a short walk with it at my mom's and he just talked away the whole time. I look forward to when it is warm enough to go hiking!

Toothless

Well, I went in to get my tooth implant. Jeff drilled into my jaw and placed the implant in today. I am now wearing a retainer with a fake tooth so I don't have to walk around with a toothless grin. However I now talk way funny. Lucky me, I conduct in RS Sunday. I think when I teach in June I will have to do it toothless, otherwise no one will be able to understand me. I go back to see Jeff in 10 days to take out the stitches. Right now I am still numb up to my eye, so I look like I have had a stroke. (I was going to post a picture but it was too awful) Well, since I'm having a hard time proof reading this post, I think the Lortab is starting to kick in. I think I'm going to veg out on the couch. All I can say is I hurt!

Hamburger, Here I Come!

OK, so we are far from hamburgers, but Dallin did have rice cereal for the first time. I apologize for soooo many pictures, but I couldn't decide which ones to post. If everyone could let me know which ones are the cutest, I would appreciate that. I can't decide which ones to scrapbook. I thought scrapbooking all of them would be a little much. Don't you think so?

A Few Fun Pictures And A Video

Tulips are blooming at my house, so while Russ mowed the lawn, Dallin and I weeded the flower bed. OK, so I did most the weeding. Dallin did try to eat the tulips. I'm sure he would have succeeded if he had his way.

Dallin likes to make sure Dad is still there while he is eating. If you ask me, it looks like a hard way to eat.

A little video of Dallin getting a bottle. If you watch closely you can see how he gets so excited for food that he starts to shake. And yes, that is Star Trek Deep Space Nine music in the background.

He Sits Up! (Sort Of)

Well, he finally sat up this morning for longer than 30 seconds. He sat up for about 5 minutes. He just kept leaning forward more and more. If I had left him sitting up, his chin would have eventually touched the floor. So I laid him down on his belly to finish watching his Veggie Tales. He didn't ever cry. Just rolled on over. He's getting to be such a big boy!
