Easter

Dallin's First Easter. He got a book about "Things That Go", a Veggie Tales video, PJs, and (at dad's request) candy.

Dallin was determined to not let dad eat his candy, so he tried to eat it all himself. Too bad he never got past the wrapper.

Dad and Dallin are all ready for church. Because it was such a nice day, we got the stroller out and walked to church.

This is not an Easter picture, but I wanted to show how Dallin has discovered his toes. As if it wasn't hard enough before to keep socks on. Now he has discovered how to pull them off.

Easter Party At Grandma Braegger's

Today was our annual Braegger Easter Party. We headed out to Bear River, where we had an Easter Egg Hunt and a BBQ. Dallin was either sleeping or grumpy during both, so we don't really have any pictures of that. But once we headed inside he was much happier.

Dallin and Stetson had a good ol' time together. At one time Dallin stuck his fist into Stetson's mouth and let him suck on it. We didn't catch a picture of that. Stetson is Dallin's second cousin and third cousin but not genetically related. Try and figure that one out.

This is the four generation picture on Russ's mom's side of the family. It's Grandma Kathi, Great Grandma Braegger, Dallin, and Dad.

It was a long day for little Dallin. He slept the whole way home. (OK, so mom did too :)

Rebecca was playing with Grandma Great's toys with Dallin. It was a little startling for him.

Baby vs Velcro

Poor Dallin looks like he's been in a fight. He was. He fought with a bib that had Velcro on it. Looks like the Velcro won. As for the red eye, I was "beeping" his nose and he threw his head forward and his eye went right into my finger. I felt bad, but he's a trooper.

My Baby's Name

Meg decided to tag me with "where did your baby's name come from" So here it goes.

Dallin Clark. Russ and I do not agree on names, so it was a long process. If Dal had been a girl, he would have been Nora Beth (Nora because we both liked it and Beth after Russ's Grandma Richins) For a while it was going to be Evan Albert Richins, but I wasn't so sure about the initials EAR. One day I was cleaning up after dinner and Russ just started asking if I liked some names. "Do you like Gordon? Do you like James? Do you like Thomas?" Finally he asked if I liked Dallin. I loved it instantly. He told me he was just naming the general authorities and he figured I was bound to like one of them. So I guess technically he is named after Dallin H. Oaks. As for Clark as a middle name, Russ suggested we give him my dad's name as a middle name. It just sounded right together.

***Side Note: He usually doesn't get called Dallin at home. I call him Baby or Dallin O'Fallin. Russ calls him Monk (short for monkey) or Turk (short for turkey bird). And on really messy diaper days we call him Stinker With The Binker. :)

I want to tag a few friends too. I think this is one of the best tags I've had.
I tag Angie, Arin, JC, Sara, and Megan Hilton (not to be confused with Megan Dawson :) Mom is tagged too if she ever updates her blog. (hint hint)

This One's For You JC

Since your blog won't let me comment on it, I thought I would post an entry just for you, as a reply to your last post:

You should have tried the "I'm too young" defense with your bishop. It didn't get me out of being in the RS presidency, but maybe your bishop is more understanding :) You know I'm just kidding. You'll love your calling. And after the MANY years you will be serving in that calling, I know you will cry when they finally release you (whether of joy or sadness, I'm not sure). And I'm sure your ward is full of people who always do their callings, so you'll never have to worry about a primary teacher just not showing up or having to plan a last minute sharing time. OK, so I know I'm not helping at all. And I hope at this point you are laughing and not crying. You'll do great. I look forward to many funny blog entries with great primary kid stories.

Love Ya!!!

That Kind Of A Day

Seems like lately, every time we finish cleaning up a mess Dallin has made, he makes another one. This video is a perfect example. Dallin had just woke up. He was happy so I put him in the jumper. I pulled out the camera to video how cute he was sucking on the edge of the jumper and BOOM, an explosion. All I could do was laugh while I cleaned it all up and gave him a bath. WARNING: If pooping noises gross you out, then don't watch the video.

4 Months Old!

Dallin is 4 months old today. In some ways I can't believe it has already been four months. In other ways I can't believe it's only been four months. Either way, it's been a wonderful 4 months.

Now for Dallin's newest trick, spit bubbles!
