Smart Habit Saturday

June: Laundry

Update: Laundry is going well. It's a weird feeling on Saturday not to have loads and loads of laundry to do. And there is a positive side effect. As I have been trying to create this good habit, little other habits are being formed without me realizing it. Russ pointed out just the other day how he never is triping over my shoes anymore. And what he calls "The Nicole Zone" (ther area off our front room all my junk seems to end up) is looking cleaner and cleaner. Go Figure.

***I still want anyone's ideas on how to deal with Dallin's Clothes. If I save them, how to store them?

Help Please!!

OK, I need everyone's opinion on this one. Dallin is almost 8 months old. I have all the clothes he has grown out of in two boxes. That's two boxes for just the first 6 months of life! My question: what do we do with his clothes? We are planning on have more children, but not until after Russ graduates. So do we keep all the clothes? Are we better off just picking our out favorites and DI the rest? Or should we just DI all of them. Heck, we may have all girls after Dallin. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! Two boxes, and those are little clothes. What will the next few years be like.

***If we do give them away and anyone knows of someone having a boy in the fall (Dallin was a Nov baby) let me know. I would love to let them go through them.

Piano Man

" Sing us a song you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight..."

OK, so we are a little ways away from that, but we are just so proud he stopped trying to fit in into his mouth. :) Yeah Dallin!

Bumbo

My mom wanted to see Dallin in the Bumbo. This was this morning. I was folding laundry while he chewed on books.

Smart Habit Saturday

June: Laundry

Update:
Laundry went well this week. I did a load Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. That leaves just one load today. The night before I plan on doing the load on laundry, I gather up all the items to be washed in that particular load, place them in the correct hamper, and place the hamper in the hallway. My husband helps out by putting them all in the wash when he gets up for work. Then when I get up to get ready for work, I place them in the dryer and hung up anything that does not get dried. When I get home from work, all I have to do is fold and put away. I will have to admit that yesterday's load never got folded. That leaves me with a load today and to finish up yesterday's load. We'll try again next week and shoot to get Friday's load done on Friday. Good luck to everyone else who is having a SMART day.

Family Outing

Yesterday was Terrace Days, so we walked down to Rohmer Park. It was hot, but Dallin had fun on the swings. Dallin loves to take walks and be outside. When we got home we was worn out. He took two afternoon naps yesterday.

Smart Habit Saturday

So I can across this blog called the The Lazy Organizer. I really enjoy reading it. She does something called Smart Habit Saturday, so I thought I would try her program. I am going to try and set small goals the first Saturday of every month to help me get more organized. Then ideally I will post every Saturday on how I am doing. Hopefully I will get a few new good habits.

June: Laundry

Laundry is one of my least favorite chores and seems to be so time consuming. All that waiting and folding and putting away. I usually have about 4 loads a week, so I've decide to try and break them up. I am going to and do one load on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. I'm hoping doing it this way I will actually get them folded and put away instead of doing them all on Saturday and getting too lazy to fold them when I'm done. Maybe then Russ won't consider our dryer just another drawer to store clean clothes.
