We had our FHE lesson on scripture study. I had the picture of Nephi and his family leaving Jerusalem and talked about how the scriptures were so important to them that Nephi went all the way back to get the brass plates. Then we talked about the stories we learn about in the scriptures.
Me: Dallin, who do we learn about in the scriptures?
Dallin: Nephi broke his bow. He got another one.
Mom: Yes, he did. Who else do we learn about in the scriptures?
Dallin: My Elmo blanket blowed away in the house. It blowed away all over outside and Nephi catched it. He got my Elmo blanket 'cause it blowed away.
Obviously, we aren't reading the same scripture stories. :) At least the bow part was right.

And it came to pass that Nephi saw the Elmo blanket, and it did blow in the wind all over the house. And lo, Nephi, he being of good strength, did grab the Elmo blanket and did give it back unto Dallin
......
ya, I totally remember that part in the scriptures.
(Sorry, I hope this isn't sacreligious)
haha, that's cute
At first I was going to bow down to your greatness, as you are so good about teaching your Dallin about the scriptures. And I still do. But then the Elmo blanket scriture... ahhh! love it. :)
