Randomness

This is just a post about Randomness. Hope that's OK. Dallin and I will be in Utah for about 3 weeks, so I probably won't post anything for a while. We are excited.

Russ had an old pair of socks. One of them had a hole in the heal, so I attempted to make a sock monkey out of it. Dallin loves him. His name in Chocolate. (Dallin picked the name). I think next time I go to the store I might have to pick up some new socks and make Chocolate some fun friends. On a related note, I can't find my good sewing scissors and I am not happy about that.
This is just a picture Russ took of Dallin. Dallin's favorite toys, costumes and McDonald's toys. I don't know why we bother to buy anything else. :)
My second attempt at cookies. OK it was my third attempt, but the second attempt was a disaster.  They turned out pretty cute. While I am in Utah I want to stop buy a store in Murry that sells some of the decoration things I can't find here. I could order them online, but who wants to spend $6 in shipping for an item that only costs $2? And yes, I need to practice my writing. Dallin mushed his lion's nose.

So the poll is closed (OK it closed like 2 months ago) and here are the results of all 19 people who voted.

14 said a dishwasher instead of covered parking
2 said said covered parking over a dishwasher
4 said it depended on what kind of covered parking it was

I wouldn't be interested in who voted for what.

I might have to go with covered parking over a dishwasher. Part of that may be that there are only 3 people in this house. Part of that may be that I haven't had a dishwasher in 7 years but use to have a carport. I guess if I permanently had to decide between the two I would seriously have to think about it. I don't have either now, but since living in Michigan I would choose covered parking. This winter there were days it took me 20 minutes to even be able to open the car door because everything freezes so fast and hard in that awful wind. And then I had to scrape a half an inch of ice off the window. Not fun.

Well, I am excited to go to Utah. I hope my sister is up for making sock monkeys, decorating cookies (Of course we will give them away so we don't eat them all), and cutting out vinyl.

Hey, so it will be nice to see you soon! I'm excited for Candace's big day. You always say it's your "attempt" to make something, like it's not going to be good, but your baked goods, your sewing projects, etc. are always top notch. I would be interested in seeing what a "disaster" looks like.
P.S. I really really like the header on your blog. Where did you get it & can I copy you :)?

oh... I love the sock monkey. I was trying to talk adam into having a sock monkey birthday party... but he wasn't buying it. Maybe if I could make that adorable monkey I could have got him on board. I am SO sad that I am not going to be in Utah the same time as you. And I am with April... you are the craft queen so quit pretending that your not good at it :)

I love the sock monkey idea, that is darling!! oh, and I totally voted for the 'depends on which kind of parking' I want a garage!! I've had two car ports like you, but my strollers and bikes still are out in the elements and get worn really fast. I can totally do with out a dishwasher anytime though. And I feel bad for you and your winters you have, they must be so cold there!!
