Raspberries Anyone?

Dallin seems to have learned a new trick today. His face looks so serious when he does it, like he's concentrating on having the best raspberry ever. Russ and I can't help but bust up laughing every time he does it. Let me know what you think of it.

No Longer Toothless

I'm talking about Dallin, not me. [I'm still toothless:)] Dallin has been way fussy today and no matter what was done, nothing made him happy except when I gave him a Popsicle to chew on. Then it dawns me. He might be teething. Feeling in his mouth, I discovered little tooth starting to poke though. I'll post pictures once it comes all the way in.

What A Good Memorial Day

I have to brag on what a great husband I have. This morning I informed him we needed to do some cleaning around the house. Russ was scrubbing the bathroom sink and toilet while I was cleaning up baby clutter in the front room. Dallin started to fuss, so I took him in the bedroom and laid down on the bed with him. We both fell asleep. When I woke up, Russ had scrubbed the whole bathroom and the whole kitchen, including getting on his hands and knees to scrub the floors. All I had done was fold a couple blankets and put some clothes in the laundry basket. What a great guy! In my opinion, that's as romantic as it gets :) Kathi, good job raising your son.

We went to my parents house for dinner. My mom, Ty, and I roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire, while my dad and Russ watched movies. We had a lot of fun. And we let Dallin have a root beer Popsicle too. He loved it.

Later we played "Ticket To Ride." It is one of the best games ever. It's a strategy game, so it's more than just luck, but not so much strategy that you get frustrated. Dad won. And, in case you were wondering, this photo is staged. I just wanted Lana and Julie to know I was not making up this game. It really does exist. It's not my fault no one at work has ever heard of it . :)

And we finished off the night with some "Deal or No Deal." Some of those people on that show get a little greedy and end up losing a lot of money. But I guess you never know how you will act in that situation.

This Post Is A Long One!

It's been one busy weekend so far. Yesterday Ashley and her family surprised my mom and dad by coming down from Denver to the airport to pick up Dan. That lead me to the fact that Dan cam home from his mission yesterday.
This the first time Dan met Dallin. Dallin seemed a little unsure, but not as unsure as Sky. Shylar has never met Dan either and he wanted nothing to do with him.

Mom was thrilled to have Dan home.

Welcome Home!

Doesn't he look good!

Then this morning Lew went through the temple to take out his endowment. Russ and I went.

After the temple, Russ and I took Dallin on his first hike. We were so excited to try out the Kelty baby backpack.
Here we go. Off to the Water Fall Trail.

Dallin fell asleep a lot.

We made it!
(I didn't wear my retainer on this hike. I was afraid it would make my mouth too dry. So if you click on the picture to make ti big I think you can see my missing tooth. :)

What cute boys I have.

We made it back to the car, but not awake.

Dallin was so good and just looked around and talked. I am a little nervous because we've been home for and hour and his forehead along his hair line looks pinkish, like it's burned. I don't know how that's possible. I covered him in sunscreen and he wore a hat the whole time except for a few minute we were taking picture at the top and when I took it off when we got to the car to take the picture of him sleeping. Plus the carrier has a canopy that we had up. Hopefully he's not burned and just still a little warm from the hike.

Side note for any Davies relatives: We ran into Jake . He was hiking up when we were headed down. I'm glad he recognized me because I paying more attention to not falling on my butt than who else was around. He was with a girl named Alicia (I think that was her name). Anyone know if it's anything serious? She was a cutie!

Sorry this was so long. I couldn't decide which pictures to post, so I posted tons.

Baby "D"

Dallin got his pictures taken yesterday. He was being so ornery, but some of the picture turned out really cute. Click Here to go to the photographer, Veronica Reeve's, blog. She posted a few of them there. Let me know what you think. I love her work. I'm thinking family pictures in the fall.

Kelty Backpack

For Mother's Day I got a Kelty baby hiking backpack. We picked it up in SLC today (We rode front runner down there and had a ball.) Dallin loved being in it. We took a short walk with it at my mom's and he just talked away the whole time. I look forward to when it is warm enough to go hiking!
