Updated Update....

So, we are keeping the binkie. At least for another few months. Dallin and I are planning on flying to North Carolina (yeah!) in May and the binkie will be useful in helping his ear while taking off and landing. I'm a bit nervous about flying that far alone with an 18 month old, but the worse that happen is Dallin is awful, everyone on the plane hates me, and I never have to see them again. And I think it will so be worth it. So this leads me to my next question....anyone know how to best haddle this toddler flight? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Update...

OK, so the binky thing is not going as well as I has hoped. The daycare seems to give in to his orneriness a lot faster than I do. I could just not send one with him, but I hate to put them in a situation where he won't nap and doesn't have a binky. And I will admit I gave in on the way to Coalville. He's been a little sick and he was screaming till we gave it to him. So new plan....binky only at nap and night time. A bonus with a night time binky is he doesn't cough as much when he's sick. I'll let you know when I totally give up this plan :)

Day One...

Dallin hasn't had his binky since yesterday afternoon. He went to bed last night and tonight without it and didn't have it once during the day. Do you think this will last??? I sure hope so. If I caved it will be when we are in the car. He always cries for his bink in the car. I'm happy that we are getting rid of it, but I'm sad too. I feel like he is all grown up. My baby isn't a baby anymore.

Happy Birthday Ashley

Today is Ashley's birthday. Since Dallin is too little to call his aunt and wish her a happy birthday (Bryn called and left me a birthday message on my birthday:), we sent an email photo birthday wish to her instead. Dallin had fun coloring.

Can you tell the difference between what I colored and what Dallin colored? I know, He did much better. :) and in case you couldn't tell, he's blowing Ashley kisses.

Good News!

OK, so only I am way excited about it. but I just thought I would share. Dallin is bottle free! It's not like I did all that much. I noticed that Dallin drank pretty much from whatever was put in front of him, so we took all bottles away. I think it helped that we never gave him a bottle just before bed, so it was never a comfort/routine thing. He always got his last bottle at dinner. Next project to tackle, the binky. I doubt this one will go as smoothly.
