We celebrated my mom's 49th b-day on Sunday. It was fun to all get together. Brynlee kept wanting to hold Dallin. Finally Russ sat with her so she could. She sang songs to him and talked to him. At one point Russ and Brynlee talked about his eyes.
Brynlee (To Dallin): "You have pretty blue eyes"
Russ: "They might not stay blue"
Brynlee: "Mine did"
Russ: "But Skylar's didn't"
Brynlee: "Well, I hope that Dallin's eyes stay blue just like mine"
I thought it was sweet. It's funny how much more little kids like babies when they don't have to live with them. Though I am sure Bryn and Sky have sweet moments between wrestling matches :)

Earthquake
So, there was an earthquake in Wells, NV today and it was felt all the way to Boise, ID according to the news. I know it was felt in Ogden anyhow. I was at work just before 7:30. I felt like I was dizzy. For anyone who has worn new glasses, you know what dizzy feeling you get with a new prescription, when you feel like you can't quit keep your balance and the world is spinning just ever so slightly. That's what it felt like. I thought it was just me, but then people around me started to ask if I could feel that. It was an earthquake. I've never felt one before. When I went to pick up Dallin from Kristel's today she was going over an earthquake drill with the kids. All the table chair were out of the way and kids were under the table. Crazy day.

Fun 4 Mommies Blog
My sister, Ashley, started a new blog for everyone to share fun mommy ideas. She's seen some of these before, but thought it would be fun to have one where she would actually know the people who contribute ideas. And you don't have to be a mom to contribute. We would love to have recipes and crafts too! Anyways the address is http://fun4mommies.blogspot.com. Don't be scared and post! And let your friends know. The more ideas and recipes we get, the more fun this will be. The upper right hand corner of the blog tells you the sign on and password. Make sure you write your name at the end of the post so we know who the ideas are from. Have fun with it.

Valentine's Day
It was Dallin's first Valentine's Day. Dallin and I decorated the table and baked some small cakes for when dad got home. (OK, so I did most of it) Russ and I had soup and Pepper Jack Grilled Cheese (That is thanks to Misty. I have been craving Pepper Jack since work.) Dallin had formula :) Dad got an iTunes gift card and Dallin got clothes and a Tagget Blanket. (He already had one from Grandma Tana, but she told us to go buy another one since Dallin loves to chew on it. Because one day it would be lost and you will not be able to find a place to buy one anywhere when you need one.)

Sick Baby-Again
Dallin hasn't really been completely healthy since before Christmas, but the mild congestion and cough didn't seem to bother him. The on Wednesday evening he started to cry and didn't stop, not even to eat. After a couple hours of that we decide to take him to after hour care. Because he's only 3 months and there was no pediatrician they wouldn't see him and told us to go to the ER. We did. After a lot of tests, x-rays, and exams they said it was just colic and sent us home. That didn't seem right to me because he has never ever had colic. It was strange he would start now.
All Thursday he hardly ate or stopped crying. His babysitter said what little he did eat, he threw up. Friday was the same, so I finally called his Doctor. Turns out he doesn't have colic. He has a temperature and a virus of some sort. The doctor said he wasn't sure if it was a respiratory virus or the flu, but that it didn't really matter. The course of treatment is the same in a baby so young.
We have had very little sleep the last two night, and tonight probably won't be any different. He has cried so much he is now hoarse. I don't know how parent who have babies with colic do it night after night. There must be a special place in heaven for them.
