Mini Popsicles

We just bought Dallin these little Mighty Magic Minis. One of them is just the perfect size for him. He can eat the whole thing before it melts all over the place. :)

What To Buy?

We need to buy a new computer, and can't decide what to buy. Both the Mac and PC have perks and drawbacks.

PC- Can get more bang for your buck and if it breaks you can get it repaired fairly cheap. However, the Windows operating system sucks and most viruses/spyware/malware are written for Windows. The more stable PC operating systems don't run the software I use.

Mac- Operating system is more stable and less prone to attacks by viruses/spyware/malware. Hardware and software always work together well because they are made by the same company. More multimedia software come pre-installed. However, just comparing hardware (RAM, Memory, etc), Mac is more expensive than a comparable PC. Also, becasue very few people can fix a Mac, it is very expensive to have it fixed.

Just wondering what you guys all thought. I love my Mac, but I think I have a bit of a sour taste in my mouth because we have had the hard-drive crash and now the screen is going out and it's only 3 1/2 years old. On the other hand, my parents have always had a PC and have had nothing but problems.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

NC-Children's Museum

We did all sorts of fun things in North Carolina. We went shopping, out to dinner, pictures at Old Salem, swimming, strawberry picking, parks, the Greek festival, and just a lot of fun hanging out and meeting new friends. The only time I remembered to bring my camera was when we went to the children museum with Aly and Adam. It was so much fun! Here are a few pictures from the day.

Hanging out in the giant rocking chair.

Rub-a-dub-dub, Adam's in the tub.

Dallin liked to rock the baby dolls. At one time Aly and I could hear him singing to a baby doll, but he stopped and throw the doll before I could get a picture.

Playing in the "Build It" center.

Adam and Dallin both liked the "Build It" center.

A quick Lunchable lunch

Adam had a lot of fun enough though he didn't have a morning nap.

Here is a video of a dancing Dallin. He sure had fun.

I'll post more pictures once I get them from the people who took pictures at the other activities. (Aly and Kira)

I'm back

From North Carolina. I had a blast!!! I can't wait to go back. I'll post all about it later when I get some pictures downloaded. I just wanted to let you know about a great giveaway at Veronica Reeve Photography blog. She does an awesome job! She's done picture a couple of times for us. She did some of Dallin and our family. If I don't win the giveaway, I hope someone I know does. Make sure and enter before June 1st.

Stay tuned for great NC info! Now I just need to get Russ a job there. :)

Day 2

So I ran again. I was a bit slower, but Russ says that is normal when you start out. I guess my body was a bit stiff still from Wednesday. Now I get a week off because I'm heading to North Carolina on Sunday. It should be way fun. Any last minute suggestions on the best way to travel with a toddler? Or any travel suggestions at all? It's been over 4 years since I've flown anywhere.

Getting In Shape

I hope anyway. Today I went running/walking 3 miles. I started listening to a podcast that follows the "couch to 5k" program. I actually feel really good after going. I thought maybe I would be more accountable for my progress if I share it with all of you. Keep me honest. :)

Grocery Smarts

So we had a free class the other day about how to use your coupons and how to use the Grocery Smarts website. The girl who taught it was super nice and helpful. She even gave me her home number so I can call with any questions I may have. She is a stay at home mom who feeds her family of 5 for about $200 a month. I've just started getting the Sunday paper, and am way excited to start saving money. I have used the website this week, and it made my trip a lot quicker with less impulse buying. She said she would love to teach a class again, as long as there are at least 6-7 people committed to coming. If anyone is interested, let me know. I'm sure we can get a class set up at my mom's house (I haven't mentioned this to her yet :) I'm sure she won't mind if I offer to clean her house for her first.) The class is totally free, as is the website. She helps get you started, explain how to make it easy, and even helps you get signed up for the Sunday papers if you need her to. Let me know if anyone is interested and if enough people are, we can give her a call. If not, feel free to check out the website anyway. grocerysmarts.com The passport is g84cmo.
